Crosskarts are unique off-road vehicles that are built like sprint cars, with an engine mounted midship and plenty of suspension travel. They can reach
speeds of more than 130 mph. Although they look like a small, awkward vehicle, they're actually much more spacious inside. Crosskarts are also fast and
agile, and their rear-wheel-drive system gives them a great sense of control and are powered by an engine that can reach a redline of more than 10,000 rpm.

Crosskarts also have plenty of suspension travel, allowing for course elevation changes and corners at high speeds. Their suspension is also
very compliant over bumps and dirt conditions. They compete in rallies, autocross, and dirt oval tracks.
These vehicles can also be used on ice racing tracks.

Competition Crosskarts are limited to certain build criterias from cage requiremnts to wheel base and engine sizes for safety and track concerns.
Chassis and components are typically made of DOM steel tubing or Chromemoly.
They commonly use sport bike motorcycle engines and can range from 600 cc to 750cc in the European countries, but with the new Formula X Autocross
rules and spec requiremnts coming out spring of 2023, Formula X Autocross (FX Autocross) will be intorducing a new Sportsman 1000cc class.

The sport of Crosskarting is relatively new in the United States,it has grown rapidly in southern and Nordic countries along with Austrailia and
Brazil showing growing interest.
The sport is catching on and more manufacturers are getting in with 3 new manufactures from the United States, Sierra Cars, RiskTaker Products, and Fast & Speed US,
are the newest manufactures advancing this new form of vehicles and racing.
While no prior experience is required, it is helpful to have some knowledge of manual driving. Most of the time, the driver is sideways
in the vehicle, so control of weight transfer is vital. This type of car can be incredibly taxing physically,
but is typically overcome by the adrenline rush these cars create!

Costs and maintence is typically a lower investment when comparing to other forms of racing. They are smaller, lighter, and faster without so
much abuse when comparing to most others forms of off road racing and larger engine and transmission requirments, not to mention that
they are all season vehicles.
